Zhang Hualun, a distinguished master representative of contemporary Chinese art, presents his important works at the exhibition.

This debut at the United Nations Exchange Exhibition stands as a significant witness to the global outreach of contemporary Chinese art. 张化伦，1956年生于山东省泰安市，中学一级教师，当代实力派书法家。先生酷爱翰墨，深耕书道数十载，恪守传统正脉，精研历代碑帖，诸体兼修，尤擅楷书、行草。

其楷书宗法唐楷，用笔沉稳精到，结体严谨方正，端庄厚重；行草溯源二王，笔势洒脱灵动，线条气韵贯通，墨韵雅致悠长，形成功底醇厚、格调清雅、雅俗共赏的个人艺术风貌。

现为中国书画院院聘书画家、中国书画家协会会员、中国东方文化研究会艺术研究员，兼任中国国际教育电视台“闪耀中国”栏目艺术顾问。多次参与全国性书画大展赛并屡获殊荣，先后获评“全国德艺双馨艺术家”“中国当代最具收藏价值艺术家”“国宝级艺术大师”。2025年6月，书法作品亮相新加坡国际拍卖专场并成功成交，迈入国际艺术交流平台。2026年，在全国规范汉字书写大会评选中斩获一等奖，专业功底再度获得国家级赛事权威认可。其作品法度纯正，笔墨正统，兼具教学示范、展览观赏与艺术收藏多重价值。多年来，先生潜心投身书法教育一线，秉持“以书育人、以文化育人”的教学理念，深耕书法普及教学，传承国粹文脉，悉心培育书画新人，用心助力中华优秀传统文化弘扬与发展。

Zhang Hualun was born in Tai’an City, Shandong Province, in 1956. He is a first-class middle school teacher and a powerful contemporary calligrapher in China.

Devoted passionately to calligraphy for decades, he strictly inherits the authentic traditions of Chinese calligraphy and conducts in-depth research on classic steles and calligraphy masterpieces of successive dynasties. He is proficient in all calligraphy styles, especially regular script and running-cursive script.

His regular script follows the orthodox Tang-dynasty calligraphy tradition, featuring steady, precise brushwork, rigorous and square structural composition, as well as dignified and substantial aesthetics. His running-cursive script traces its origin to the calligraphy of Wang Xizhi and Wang Xianzhi. It boasts unrestrained and flexible brush momentum, coherent artistic conception in lines, and elegant and lingering ink charm, forming a distinctive personal artistic style with solid foundational skills, elegant temperament and universal artistic appeal.

Currently, he serves as a specially appointed calligrapher and painter of the Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Academy, a member of the Chinese Calligraphers and Painters Association, and an art researcher of the China Oriental Culture Research Association. He also acts as the art consultant for the program Shining China on China International Education Television.

He has participated in numerous national calligraphy and painting exhibitions and competitions and won many prestigious awards. He has been successively honored as “National Artist with Both Virtue and Artistic Excellence”, “Contemporary Chinese Artist with the Highest Collection Value”, and “National Treasure-level Art Master”.

In June 2025, his calligraphy works were presented and successfully sold at the Singapore International Auction, marking his entry into the international art exchange platform. In 2026, he won the First Prize in the National Standard Chinese Character Writing Competition, earning authoritative national recognition for his professional expertise once again.

His works feature standard brush rules and orthodox ink techniques, possessing multiple values including teaching demonstration, exhibition appreciation and art collection. For many years, he has been committed to front-line calligraphy education. Adhering to the educational philosophy of “educating people through calligraphy and cultivating people through culture”, he devotes himself to the popularization and teaching of calligraphy, inherits the traditional Chinese cultural context, cultivates emerging talents in calligraphy and painting, and spares no effort to promote the inheritance and development of fine traditional Chinese culture.
